Summer Travel

TxEIS Image

Have any summer plans? Or have you already been somewhere? Let us know what fun you have coming up or have already had. In fact, whoever has been the furthest on a single trip from Texas (as the crow flies), will get a magnet. Takers? Just comment on the post in the next week. And we’re always here to answer your questions, so give us a call.

IE 11 — Update Your Browsers

TxEIS Image

Be aware that as of the upcoming TxEIS update, we will be supporting Internet Explorer (IE) 11. We always support the latest versions of Chrome and Firefox, as well as Apple Safari 5.0 and later (on the Mac only). And you’ll want to get your IE updated anyway, as Microsoft has stopped security updates for any previous versions. TxEIS is always concerned about safety — you should be too. Stay safe and upgrade. Let us know if you have any questions.

A Message from Jennifer Carver

TxEIS has a newsletter, in case you didn’t know, that keeps you up-to-date with the changes in Releases and Updates (want to know what the difference is?). And Jennifer Carver, the component director of TxEIS Programming, always has some words of wisdom. See what she had to say about the 2.0.0005 Release from March. Don’t forget: if you ever have questions, let us know. We love to hear from you.

Early Closing

The Texas Computer Cooperative closes a little early on Fridays in July (@ 2:30). Y’all have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend!

Registration Form Completion

TxEIS Image

Once parents are logged into txConnect (Parent Portal) and have navigated to the Student List, they’ll see either the message, “Print Registration Form Completion Confirmation” if they have completed all required forms, or a red exclamation mark icon. The exclamation mark means they can click the View/Edit Forms button or the icon to make necessary changes for the student. Furthermore, each form will display either a green check mark to indicate that it has been completed or a red exclamation mark (message, “Please review this form for accuracy” also displays) indicating more information is required. There’s a lot of information when you’re registering your child, so we make easier to navigate. Stay tuned for more great changes to Online Student Enrollment and Registration. And always contact us with your questions.
