TxEIS makes sure you’re secure. One of the ways we do this is to get folks from the TCC TxEIS Data Center, iTCCS and ESC-20, as well as, of course, TxEIS, together quarterly to proactively discuss things like ransomeware and DDOS attacks, and how to prevent or deal with them. TxEIS has your best interest at heart. Call us and let us know what you’re concerned about.
The new, much anticipated Help has begun its roll-out. It’s currently available in Scheduling and Test Scores, but look for it in many more applications by this summer. Onward and upward. Let us know if you have questions.
One more to go. The TASBO is a big one, as you know. And once again we’ll be up in Austin from February 27th to March 3rd (March already? That’s madness.). The booth will be set up on Tuesday night (2/28) and all day Wednesday. We’re in spots 517/616. Come by and talk iTCCS, TxEIS, CareerPortal or anything else for that matter. You’ll be glad you did. See you soon!
Our clients mean the world to us. And so we wanted to take a minute to welcome some of the newest members of the family. We’re so glad you’re here. And don’t forget to contact us with any question or comments.

Because you asked for it! The General Ledger Inquiry page was added to perform quick inquiries on general ledger data. The GL Inquiry tab lets you inquire into processed, current period or next period data. Need to know about total balances by accounting period and year? The GL History – Accounting Period tab is what you need. And finally the GL History – EOM tab displays data for current balances at the end of the month process for the selected accounting period. You get a .csv file to sort and filter to your heart’s content. Let us know if you have any questions.
TxEIS has a hosted environment that offers lots of benefits. We already mentioned document attachment and security. How about JasperReports? The Java-based data analysis and reporting engine gives you even more added value. This versatile addition to TxEIS lets you create ad hoc reports and dashboards, export data in many different formats (PDF, .csv, .rtf and HTML to name just a few). Schedule reports to run on particular days each week or month and have them sent to you when they’re done. The whole world of data from your district is at your fingertips. Want to know more? Contact us.

The filing deadline for W2’s and 1099’s is fast approaching. Take a look at IRS Publication 1220 for more specific deadlines, but know that we’re ready. That’s at least one less thing you have to worry about at this stressful time of year. The Texas Computer Cooperative is here for you. Contact iTCCS or TxEIS with any questions you might have. Happy filing!
The TCC, as part of Education Service Center, Region 20, will be closed for two weeks starting today at 2 p.m. We’ll be back and ready for action though on Monday, January 2nd, 2017. Happy holidays again!
